We are all members of the Capital Rodders hot rod club of Wellington. We attend regular runs and enjoy being part of a club with a great history in New Zealand hot rodding. The pictures show our Hearse at the Capital Rodders 50th anniversary and our old One Ton ute in the line up outside the Capital Rodders club rooms.

A couple of years ago we took our 1948 265 hemi powered Ford Popular to the nostalgia drags at the Meremere drag strip just south of Auckland. Zachary ran a best time on 14.6. That was enough for the racing bug to bite. A year later at the Masterton drag strip we ran a 14.3 with lots of wheel spin. Our new goal is the break into the 13's. We've improved the traction and added a high stall converter. Next step will be going to a warm 350 Chev v8.

Zachary and his mum Carol have been doing Zen Do Kai karate for about 15 years and run their own club. Zachary recently passed his 3rd degree black belt and now his mum no longer out ranks him. Zachary also has a black singlet in kick boxing.
